2019 Sauvignon Blanc
This bottling is sourced from various vineyards in Monterey County's Arroyo Seco Appellation. Drawing from fruit sources on the cool northern end the AVA provides bright acidity and grassy characters, which are complemented with citrus and tropical flavors from the warmer vineyards to the south.
The juice was tank fermented to preserve bright fruit flavors. Following fermentation, the wine was transferred to 7% new French oak barrels for five months of aging.
The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc features aromas of passion fruit, key lime, and white peach. Flavors of lemons, limes, and quince are lively and refreshing. The small touch of oak accents the bright acidity by adding elegant texture. An incredibly food-versatile wine, it’s a natural match for shellfish, seafood, and lighter summer fare.

“Lovely ripe citrus nose, smooth and juicy with fresh balanced flavors of crisp orange and peach, long, fresh and delicious.” - Anthony Dias Blue, May 2021
"I am reminded of some of the early "Fume Blanc" expressions of Sauvignon Blanc by this glass, where a little wood exposure is a good thing. Better yet, it maintains the brightness that makes the variety so attractive that the examples of the past seemed to lack. The result is a very tasty package that values balance above all else. Lemon, peach, melon and a touch of grassy herbaceousness are bright, and the wood tones are a nice accent." - Rich Cook, November 2021
"Very light in the glass, this bottling begins with aromas of sea spray, lime pith, sansho pepper and a hint of kelp. The palate is tense and powered by acidity, offering lime-peel flavors most prominently." - Matt Kettmann, October 2021
